The John Wick universe is only just beginning to expand with news of a prequel series starring Mel Gibson, and while Keanu Reeves is not slated to appear in The Continental, it appears another cinematic universe of note could be on his mind.

In a new interview with Esquire, Reeves was asked if he would consider making a leap into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), to which he responded, "It would be an honour."

"Isn't it bigger than a universe?" he joked. "It's almost like a multiverse… It's a Marvel-verse." He added, "There's some really amazing directors, and visionaries, and they're doing something no one's ever really done. It's special in that sense in terms of the scale, the ambition, the production. So it'd be cool to be a part of that."

Inviting the action star to be a part of the MCU would surely make these superhero features a little less "fucking boring as shit" to some, but we should note that there could be some comic conflict in the cards, as Reeves was also revealed today to be a voice actor in 2022's DC League of Super-Pets.

Of course, before Reeves makes any kind of move into the MCU, he'll return to the world of The Matrix in The Matrix Resurrections, reprising his role as Neo. That film arrives this December.
