The Matrix is back to reclaim that whole red pill metaphor, and we now have the first trailer for The Matrix Resurrections.
In the trailer, we see Neo (Keanu Reeves with his John Wick hair) gobbling down blue pills and living in a mundane modern world filled with cellphones, therapists and simmering melancholy. We then see him take a blue pill and once again experiences all of the same kung-fu training, suit-wearing agents and Alice in Wonderland allusions as appeared in the original trilogy. It all plays a bit like a greatest hits of Matrix references, and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) makes a prominent appearance.
