While Zack Snyder may be getting ready to release his "Snyder Cut" of Justice League, the director also has a Netflix project coming out. It's called Army of the Dead, and we've just got our first trailer for the zombie heist flick.
Following Snyder's 2004 remake of George A. Romero's classic Dawn of the Dead, he's now returning to world of zombies, with Army of the Dead being set in Nevada's infamous Area 51, where the zombie plague is running wild. And it's here that there's a lot of loot to be had — if you are willing to brave the brain munchers.
Army of the Dead stars Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Huma Qureshi, Omari Hardwick, Tig Notaro, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt, Matthias Schweighöfer, Raúl Castillo, Nora Arnezeder and Samantha Win.
"It is a full-blown, balls-to-the-wall zombie heist movie, so it's genre-on-genre in a great way," Snyder told Entertainment Weekly. "So you expect pure zombie mayhem, and you get that, 100 percent. But also you get these really amazing characters on a fantastic journey. It's going to surprise people that there's a lot of warmth and real emotion with these great characters."
Army of the Dead arrives on Netflix on May 21, and you can watch the trailer below.
Zack Snyder's Justice League, meanwhile, is set to arrive on HBO Max on March 18.
