'Harry Potter' Treated to Free Readings by Daniel Radcliffe, Eddie Redmayne, David Beckham

Daniel Radcliffe, Stephen Fry, Eddie Redmayne, Dakota Fanning and more will each narrate a chapter

If you thought lockdown seemed like the perfect time to reread Harry Potter, you're not alone. Some celebrities are teaming up to read J.K. Rowling's beloved 1997 novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, and the recordings will be shared for free over the next few months.

Wizarding World announced the "Harry Potter at Home" initiative today, revealing the lineup of celebrities who will be reading the novel chapter by chapter.

Reading Chapter 1 will be Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe. Subsequent chapters will be read by celebs include Stephen Fry, Eddie Redmayne, Dakota Fanning, David Beckham, Claudia Kim and Noma Dumezweni.

The debut, known in the U.S. as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, contains 17 chapters, and the recordings will be released weekly. Videos will be posted at harrypotterathome.com, and audio recordings will be published as a podcast on Spotify.
