Harry Hains's Cause of Death Revealed

The 'American Horror Story' actor died at the age of 27

American Horror Story: Hotel actor Harry Hains passed away in January at the age of 27, and now his cause of death has finally been revealed.

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, the Australia-born actor/model/musician died of an accidental overdose due to fentanyl intoxication.

Also known for roles on The OA, Sneaky Pete and The Surface, Hains died on January 7, when his mother, actress Jane Badler, confirmed his passing in a tribute post.

In addition to Hains's various acting roles, he also performed music under the moniker ANTIBOY, as well as worked as a model.

At the time of his death, Badler said her son struggled with mental illness and addiction.

"He was 27 and had the world at his feet. But sadly he struggled with mental illness and addiction," she wrote. "A brilliant spark shone bright too short a time .. I will miss you Harry every day of my life …"
