Aubrey Plaza has joined the cast of HBO's Hawaii-set class satire The White Lotus, which was renewed for its second season before the end of Season 1 back in August.
Variety reports that Plaza will star as Harper Spiller, a woman on vacation with her friends and husband. Plaza joins previously announced co-star Michael Imperioli, who is best known for his role as Christopher Moltisanti on The Sopranos.
The follow-up iteration of the series by writer, director, and executive producer Mike White is said to take place in another location, following a different group of vacationers "as they jet to another White Lotus property and settle in temporarily amongst its inhabitants."
Season 1 standout Jennifer Coolidge is also rumoured to be returning to her role as Tanya McQuoid. Further details on Season 2 have yet to be revealed.
The White Lotus made Exclaim!'s 12 Best TV Shows of 2021, in spite of that one pretty shitty scene.
