'The Sopranos' Star Michael Imperioli Joins Cast of 'The White Lotus' Season 2

He's the first confirmed cast member for the second instalment of HBO's dark comedy

Michael Imperioli will be back on the small screen, jet-setting to a luxury resort for the second season of HBO's class satire The White Lotus.

The Sopranos alum, who recently appeared in Japanese Breakfast's video for "Savage Good Boy," is the first confirmed cast member for the follow-up to the six-part breakout series. First season standout Jennifer Coolidge is also rumoured to be returning to reprise her role of Tanya McQuoid.

According to Deadline, Emmy-winner Imperioli will play a character named Dominic Di Grasso — a man travelling with his recent college-graduate son, as well as his elderly father.

This follows the news that Mike White's original series was renewed for a second season with a new cast and location, which came back in August before the first season was finished airing.

The next instalment will follow a different group of wealthy vacationers at another idyllic White Lotus property — the ideal setting for things to take a dark turn, naturally.
