And Just Like That… is officially returning for a second season. The very popular and much-debated Sex and the City revival is coming back for round two following a first season that introduced much-maligned comedian Che Diaz and a total absence of Kim Cattrall's Samantha Jones.
In a statement, the show's executive producer Michael Patrick King said, "I am delighted and excited to tell more stories about these vibrant, bold characters — played by these powerful, amazing actors. The fact is, we're all thrilled. And Just Like That… our Sex life is back."
The show divided fans and critics, but it had enough people interested to deliver "the strongest debut of any HBO Max Original Series to date."
The show was also controversial for reasons beyond the characters and writing, with actor Chris Noth — a.k.a. Mr. Big — being accused of sexual assault and misconduct shortly after his character was serendipitously killed off in the series. It was reported that Noth was then edited out of a fantasy sequence in the series finale.
So far, there's no official word on when the series will be returning.
