Chris Noth — a.k.a. Mr. Big from Sex and the City — has reportedly had his final scene in HBO's And Just Like That... edited out after being accused of sexual assault and misconduct by multiple women last month.
Though his character was killed off in the first episode of the SATC reboot, as per Variety, the actor was due to reappear in the series finale in "a fantasy sequence where Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie reunites with Big while visiting Paris' Pont des Arts bridge to scatter his ashes."
Neither the actor nor HBO has commented publicly on the matter of the finale. However, Noth has denied all allegations of misconduct, which began with the accounts of two women in December 2021.
"It's difficult not to question the timing of these stories coming out," he said at the time. "I don't know for certain why they are surfacing now, but I do know this: I did not assault these women."
Since then, additional women have come forward with details of inappropriate behaviour from Noth on- and off-set. Singer Lisa Gentile further accused Noth of sexual assault, while SATC's Kristin Davis stand-in Heather Kristin accused him of "manhandling" and verbal abuse, and Zoe Lister-Jones called the actor a "sexual predator."
Noth was dropped from his role on CBS's The Equalizer after the allegations surfaced.
