Weezer Confirm Release Dates for Four Albums in 2022

The installments of 'SZNS' will arrive on the first day of each season

Weezer have been hinting that they will release four albums in 2022, titled SZNS, and now frontman Rivers Cuomo has confirmed the tentative release dates for the four albums.

Given that the albums are named after (and inspired by) the four seasons, it's appropriate that the albums will be arriving on this year's solstices and equinoxes. Cuomo tweeted that Spring will arrive on March 20, Summer will follow on June 20, Fall will land on September 22, and Winter will close out the series on December 21.

He added, "Those should be the first days of the seasons so please correct me if wrong." He is wrong about the first day of summer, which is on June 21, not June 20 as he has it listed. Just Google it, Rivers!

He also noted that the release dates are "not confirmed with any record company or manager," so they should probably be taken with a grain of salt.

Last year, Cuomo told Good Morning America, "Spring is kind of like happy chill. And then we move through to dance rock, like a Strokes-style album for the fall, and then sad acoustic, Elliott Smith-style for winter." He has also suggested that each album will be eight songs.
