After contributing to soundtracks and covering Toto, Weezer recently got back to teasing their next LP with the single "Can't Knock the Hustle." Now, the veteran alt-rock troupe have officially announced the so-called "Black Album."
Weezer (The Black Album) will arrive on March 1 via Crush Music/Atlantic Records and marks the full-length follow-up to 2017's Pacific Daydream. The upcoming album is the latest in the band's long-running series of self-titled, colour-labelled records that includes the Blue Album, Green Album, Red Album and The White Album.

The record was produced by TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek, and the songs were entirely written by frontman Rivers Cuomo solo on the piano — both marking firsts in the band's history.
The Black Album will be available in digital, cassette, CD and vinyl formats, with the latter getting treated to limited-edition black/clear, clear/black splatter and black cloud versions. All options are available for pre-order here.
In addition to announcing the album release, Weezer have also unveiled another new track. "Zombie Bastards" has arrived with a matching video that sees the group's flying "W" logo and a skull getting doused in black slime.
