Colyn Cameron is probably best known as the songwriter for indie pop outfit Wake Owl, but he's branched out solo for a new album called Sad & Easy. Before the record arrives in full, though, Exclaim! is giving you the first look at his video for "Hallucinations."
The album was self-produced and recorded by Cameron in his Los Angeles apartment, and it was heavily influenced by the psychedelic sounds of the late '60s.
The new video, meanwhile, takes a refreshing approach to a classic Western-inspired story.
"For this song, I wanted to make a mini Western-themed sequence of moments that capture the intimacy and vulnerability of being imperfect whilst in love," Cameron tells Exclaim! "I wanted to humorously reveal the defeat of the main male character. Shot in the truest wild western canyon we could find near east of Portland, Oregon."
Watch the video for "Hallucinations" below.
Sad & Easy is due out October 12.
