The first of three planned archival DVDs charting the Canadian metal band's history, this will be of great interest to fans of the original Voivod line-up. Collecting music videos, some surprising well-filmed bootlegs and live television appearances, the footage follows the band from their first album, War and Pain, up until 1991's Angel Rat album. Yes, most of the footage is dated, with early music videos looking especially antique, but there's no denying the influence and power the band has had on today's current scene. Add in some great bonus materials, including two of their Iron Gang live demo releases that were remastered by guitarist Piggy before his death earlier this year, and this is a total must have. (MVD)
