Vancouver's Breakout Festival is returning to action for the first time since 2019, and organizers have shared the lineup for the event's 2022 edition.
Taking place at the city's PNE Amphitheatre on September 17 and 18, the 2022 Breakout Festival will be headlined by a pair of present-day hip-hop giants in Lil Baby and Lil Uzi Vert.
On September 17, Lil Uzi Vert — who delivered new EP RED & WHITE earlier this month — will headline a bill that also includes Quavo and Takeoff (who recently billed themselves as Unc and Phew, leading to questions about the future of Migos), fast-rising Montreal-based artist Skiifall, Vancouver's Un!dentified and DaamCP, and SoFaygo, Lakeyah and Mike Dimes.
The following day (September 18), Lil Baby heads up a bill of Polo G, Cordae, Coi Leray, Winnipeg's YSN Fab, Toronto-born, Calgary-based spitter Harm Franklin, and Sheck Wes, Babyface Ray and Kali.
Selections between sets will come courtesy of DJs Rosegold, Crooksy and Johnny Black. Organizers also note the addition of a second festival stage this year, along with a VIP section, food trucks, 19+ bars, an alcohol-free zone and merch area.
Tickets go on sale to the public July 29 at 12 p.m. PT. Two-day passes start at $229 (plus service fees), with more details available via Breakout Festival's official website.
