Nearly a year after Migos capped their Culture trilogy, listeners are wondering if the trio have hit a rough patch with some surprising social media activity and the arrival of a new single.
Today, the group's Quavo and Takeoff delivered new song "Hotel Lobby" as Unc and Phew, playing off their real-world relation. The single arrives alongside a Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas-inspired video, and you can hear the pair wrap rhymes in and around its desert-fried guitar sample below.
Of course, the absence of Offset is apparent, and fans took notice before the arrival of "Hotel Lobby," noting that the third Migos member had unfollowed both of his groupmates on Instagram earlier this week.
Last month, Migos were named among the artists performing at Rolling Loud Toronto, the American hip-hop festival's inaugural Canadian edition taking place this September.
Read Exclaim!'s review of Culture III. The trilogy capstone followed 2018's Culture II and 2017's Culture.
Following the arrival of Culture II, Quavo and Takeoff released individual efforts QUAVO HUNCHO and The Last Rocket in 2018, respectively, while Offset delivered solo album Father of 4 in early 2019.
