Toronto's house and disco band Tush have shared a remix of the '70s disco classic "Love Ballad" by L.T.D.
"Love Ballad by L.T.D is one of my favourite love songs of all time," Tush's Kamilah Apong said in a statement. "I hope Jeffrey Osborne hears this! Jamie Kidd's production brings the essence of dancing as the sun sets at a beach party. Enjoy <3"
"Love Ballad'' marks the first time Tush have sampled others' recordings for use in their own productions. Equal parts mash-up and remix, Tush's version adds percussion from South African artist Floyd Lavine and Apong also sings on the track. Listen to it below.
Tush will be performing a set at the Bentway Block Party on August 13 at 6 p.m. The pay-what-you-can event includes art workshops and activities, live music, an arts market and more. You can find more details on the Bentway website.
