Tunic Announce New Album 'Wrong Dream,' Share Lead Single "Whispering"

The follow-up to 2021's 'Quitter' arrives April 28

Winnipeg punk trio Tunic have announced the full-length follow-up to 2021's QuitterWrong Dream is arriving April 28 on Artoffact Records, and it's being previewed by new single "Whispering."

"Whispering" is a tense scramble of a song, driven by David Schellenberg's curdled guitar and Dan Unger's thunderous drumming. Recorded and mixed at Machines with Magnets by Seth Manchester (METZ, the Body, Liturgy, Lightning Bolt), Wrong Dream opens the band's sound to new textures and tones; bass and keyboards were used for the first time in the writing process, resulting in a deeper low-end rumble.

"The biggest breakthroughs came from me trying to break out of my shell," Schellenberg said in a statement. "It's an evolution in songwriting that really shows our versatility in a way we haven't done yet."
