Toronto's Prepare the Ground Festival Adds Tomb Mold, YOB's Mike Scheidt, Kontravoid and North of America to Inaugural Edition

They join a lineup featuring Burning Love, KEN Mode, Liturgy, Orchid and more

Prepare the Ground organizers are continuing to bulk up the roster of artists for their upcoming inaugural heavy music festival presented by DICE

UPDATE (1/9, 10 a.m. ET): As the fest approaches, organizers have simultaneously unveiled the final wave of artists to round out the lineup and made single-day passes available to purchase at DICE. The newly added acts include North of AmericaDead TiredTunic, Bleeding OutDrowseExtinction A.D.Respire, Body Void, Chained to the Bottom of the Ocean, Mat Ball, Unwell, Maggot Heart and Vyva Melinkolya. 

After initially announcing that a special reunion show by Burning Love would headline the fest alongside KEN Mode, Liturgy, Mares of Thrace and more, organizers recently revealed that Orchid will reunite at Prepare the Ground as well. 

Now, they've added another slate of artists led by Tomb Mold, who will play behind one of Exclaim!'s favourite albums of 2023. They're joined by Mike Scheidt of YOB, Yellow Eyes, Kontravoid, Plack Blague, Tribunal, Völur, FÓRN, Witching, Jetsam, Death Kneel, Amulets, Cinder Well and This Is Hell

As previously announced, the fest is set to take place from May 31 to June 2 at multiple venues throughout Toronto. 

Although early bird weekend passes sold out in less than a day, DICE has released more full access passes at their official website. Single-day tickets are due to go on sale in January as the schedule begins to take shape.
