Earlier this month, Travis Barker did the less fun version of smashing — namely, his finger into a drum kit, promptly dislocating it — in rehearsals for Blink-182's reunion tour. Now, he's shared an update on his injury. Fair warning: it's not pretty.

The drummer took to Instagram yesterday (February 27) to let fans know he's going into surgery for his definitely deformed finger today (with an emoji of crossed fingers, naturally). A video clip shows a medical practitioner manipulating Barker's left ring finger and asking him if it hurts. "I mean, yeah, it's painful," the musician responds matter-of-factly.

The next slide in the carousel post gives a close-up look at Barker's gnarly torn ligaments, which appear to have caused at least one of the joints of his swollen and bruised finger to pop out of place. It's all very punk rock.

Blink-182's highly anticipated world tour — their first with founding member Tom DeLonge in nearly a decade — is scheduled to begin in less than two weeks, kicking off in Mexico on March 11. It remains unclear what condition Barker will be in to play, but hopefully he'll have a speedy recovery after going under the knife.

The classic Blink lineup released their latest single "Edging" in October. Although they have yet to detail their new album, DeLonge has promised that it's "elevated and progressive."
