In June, Tom Petty's estate shared an unreleased demo of "You Don't Know How It Feels" as a teaser for a long-awaited reissue of the rocker's Wildflowers album. Now, they've unearthed another song from the vault ahead of further details.
The previously unreleased "There Goes Angela (Dream Away)" arrived through Sirius XM's Tom Petty-themed station today, and fans without that service can take a listen after completing a five-question quiz on Petty's official website. Or if you want to skip all that, someone has already ripped and uploaded the song, which you can hear below.
Earlier this year, Petty's daughter, director Adria Petty, confirmed that "the family and the band are in a joyful process of discovering the Wildflowers sessions and demos" for a potential reissue, expected to arrive through Warner.
While further details of the set have yet to be shared, an anniversary re-release of the LP was reported to have been at the centre of a legal dispute between Petty's family members, settled last December.
Wildflowers has never received an official reissue since its initial release in 1994, and has since become a pricy entry in Petty's back catalogue among vinyl collectors.
