After cancelling their Canadian tour earlier this summer due to a peaking COVID-19 wave, the Offspring and Simple Plan have decided that now is the time to Let the Bad Times Roll, with rescheduled dates taking the two bands across the country this fall.
It's a brave move considering the Offspring's SUV burst into flames on the Canadian highway en route to play a summer festival show in Rimouski, QC, last month, but the trek quicks off in Halifax, NS, on October 31 — spooky! They'll proceed to roll through Saguenay, Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto, Ottawa, Kingston, St. Catharines, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Kelowna and Abbotsford, before wrapping things up in Victoria, BC, on November 27.
"We are so excited to finally be able to announce this Canadian tour with the Offspring," Chuck Comeau of Simple Plan said in statement, the Montreal outfit having recently made a habit of skipping Canada. (They'd perhaps argue that the feat is Harder Than It Looks.) "We know a lot of our Canadian fans have been waiting for a very long time for this and we're absolutely thrilled to play for them all over the country. Canada is a very special place for our band, and we know these shows are gonna be amazing."
Tickets go on sale this Friday (September 9) at 10 a.m. local time, following various presales through Ticketmaster.
