The same way that white people hate Nickelback and Creed, it's become just about a universal given that pretty much everyone loves SZA. (Except maybe those who had tickets to her twice-cancelled Toronto show.)
A well-documented super-fan of 2024's most Grammy-nominated artist is Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams, who has said she's been eyeing a collaboration with SZA for about six years — and, since they've become good friends, texting her about it on a weekly basis. SZA has now confirmed that the team-up is "in the works" and reassured the people that it's coming "soon."
In a promotional clip for Apple Music's Apple Music Live performance series, the singer-songwriter answers a few burning questions from fans — and of course some altruist insisted on asking about whether a SZA x Paramore collab was coming (adding, "We need it! for good measure), because before now, only Williams has spoken about its potential.
"Yeah," SZA answered. "Soon! Soon. It's in the works."
Watch the clip below, and tune in to catch SZA perform on Apple Music Live tomorrow (January 31) at 7 p.m. PT and at the Grammys on Sunday (February 4), where she's up for nine awards.
