In December, we learned that Toronto would be getting a new venue for summer concerts with the Bowl at Sobeys Stadium, and a slate of seasonal shows have now been announced.
Today, the Feldman Agency has detailed a trio of events for the 9,000-seat venue, situated on the grounds of York University.
The summer season begins with Barenaked Ladies headlining an evening also featuring Sam Roberts Band and KT Tunstall on June 27.
Two days later, Shaggy will bring the boombastic feel to Sobeys Stadium with support from Atlanta R&B staples 112.
A week later, things will get bigger and shinier with July 6's Big Shiny Saturday, featuring MuchMusic comp contributors the Tea Party, Headstones, I Mother Earth, Treble Charger and Bif Naked.
Tickets for the trio of shows go on sale April 19 at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster, following presales running from April 17 at 10 a.m. until April 18 at 10 p.m.
