In the wake of ongoing political unrest in the United States, Snoop Dogg has shared his plans to vote for the very first time — and you can bet he won't be voting for Donald Trump.

In a new interview with Big Boy's Neighborhood, the rapper spoke about his excitement for casting his first ballot in this year's election after being convicted of felony drug possession way back in 1990, as well as felony gun and drug charges in 2007.

"I ain't never voted a day in my life,"Snoop said. "But this year I think I'm gonna get out and vote cuz I can't stand to see this punk in office one more year."

He continued: "For many years, they had me brainwashed thinking that you couldn't [vote] because you had a criminal record. I didn't know that. My record's been expunged, so now I can vote."

Without naming who he planned to vote for, the rapper made it very clear that he did not want to see Trump back in office after the November election. The artist has long been vocal about his opinions on Trump, especially on social media in recent years.

"I can't talk about it and not be about it. I can't tell you to do it and don't go do it," Snoop said. "Everybody know I'm a frontliner. I ain't gonna tell you to do something I didn't do. If I tell you to do something, I done it already."

Snoop has been using his platform to inform potential voters, as well as people protesting the death of George Floyd. As he puts it, he is "vocally using my platform to reach millions and millions of people through messages and through music."
