Hip-hop duo Slum Village have brought aboard classic A Tribe Called Quest rhymer Phife Dawg to help promote their in-the-works LP, Yes. The threesome keep it moving on a new collaborative tune called "Push It Along."
Produced by Young RJ, the track features an old-school bap and '80s-era breaks placed alongside an ethereal piano loop and slinky synth hooks. Throughout the track, Slum Village's Baatin and T3 entwine their silky bars with the Five Footer. The three fixate on a multitude of topics, from avoiding the Pyrex scene to trash-talk rappers.
A release date for Yes is still up in the air, but you'll find the new tune down below.
As previously reported, Slum Village are hitting the road with Pete Rock this spring. You'll find more info on the North American trip here.
