After three years away, Sleigh Bells have returned with a new track and a North American tour. "Wanna Start a Band?" has been in the works since 2014, and pays homage to the noise-pop duo's beginnings
"In 2008 while eating at a restaurant in Brooklyn with my mom, our server, Derek, wasted very little time asking me, essentially, 'Wanna start a band?" Hard to believe that almost 17 years later we are still hyped and obsessively making records together," singer Alexis Krauss said in a press release.
Sleigh Bells will start their tour May 7 in Phoenix at Cresent Ballroom, before travelling up the West Coast to eventually stop at Vancouver's Hollywood Theatre on the 17th. Then, they'll dip back under the border before a stint at the Axis Club in Toronto Jon une 10. After a few Midwestern dates, the tour will wrap up in Madison, WI at Majestic Theatre on June 15.
