Now that Kjartan Sveinsson has reunited with Jónsi and Georg Holm in Sigur Rós, the group have announced plans to reunite on the road this April for a North American tour.
Kicking off in Cuernavaca on April 30, the group will bop around Mexico for three dates before heading to their first Canadian stop on the trek. They'll perform at Vancouver's Orpheum Theatre on May 9, before making their way through the US and back up to Canada for a pair of shows in Toronto and Montreal on June 10 and 11, respectively. The tour wraps up in New York City later that month.
Tickets go on sale February 25 at 12 p.m. ET and presales begin tomorrow at 10 a.m. here. The band have noted that these dates are the only North American concerts that have been planned for their world tour, so it would be wise to not hesitate to get your tickets.
In addition to their tour plans, the group have also hinted that a new album is in the works, sharing studio pictures alongside a caption that reads: "14 years since we were last here. Nothing has changed but us." More details on that to come.
