Sabrina Carpenter's "Nonsense" Outro Malfunctions on the 'Short n' Sweet' Tour

The singer appears to be retiring her iconic outro

Check in on the Sabrina Carpenter fan in your life, because it seems like the pop star has retired her signature outros for 2022 track "Nonsense."

A testament to true pop horniness, Carpenter's "Nonsense" outros have become something of a legend as she closes the song with an innuendo-filled shoutout to whatever city in which she's performing.

Last night (September 23), the singer kicked off the start of the Short n' Sweet tour in Columbus, OH, and the audience waited in anticipation for whatever stroke of horny genius the pop star would come up with this time. Instead, right when Carptener began her outro, she disappeared under the stage, looking around in faux confusion as her microphone was cut off. To drive the point home, a sign reading "We apologize for the interruption of our program due to technical difficulties" flashed onstage where she once stood.

A modern-day Shakespeare, and one of the Big Three pop phenomenons of 2024, Carpenter's "Nonsense" outros will be missed, and fans are reeling from this loss. It brought us moments like the viral "I'm on SNL and you're not," and the singer being censored for making a BBC joke on the BBC: "I'm American, I am not British / So BBC, it stands for something different."

But worry not, we are at no shortness (get it) of innuendos from Sabrina Carpenter. Short n' Sweet is overflowing with Carpenter-style playful horniness, with "Juno" and "Bed Chem" among the most viral examples. Fans have already begun to speculate that the choreography in "Juno" on the Short n' Sweet tour will become the new "Nonsense" outro; when one horny outro dies, surely some horny choreography will swoop in the save it.

Carpenter will be performing in Toronto tomorrow (September 25) at Scotiabank Arena for the second stop of the Short n' Sweet Tour.
