Roger Waters

'Is This the Life We Really Want?' (album stream)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jun 2, 2017

Pink Floyd legend Roger Waters has finally returned with a new solo record for the first time in 25 years. Is This the Life We Really Want is officially here, and you can stream it right now.

The LP marks the long-awaited follow-up to 1992's Amused to Death and hears Waters offering "unflinching commentary on the modern world and uncertain times."

The record was helmed by Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich — who, thankfully, convinced Waters to take the album from its origins as a "dramatic radio play" and morph it into a rock'n'roll record. To achieve that effect, they enlisted the help of supporting players like Joey Waronker, Jonathan Wilson, Gus Seffert, Roger Manning, Lee Pardini, Lucius, Jessica Wolfe and Holly Proctor.

Now, you can hear their collective contributions come to life by streaming the new album down below. For information on Waters's upcoming "US + Them Tour" dates, head over here.
