The Red Hot Chili Peppers recently cancelled a Los Angeles concert due to a band member's injury, and now they've revealed what happened: guitarist John Frusciante broke his finger.
Singer Anthony Kiedis revealed the news in an apology video, which was broadcast over the screens at KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas concert at Inglewood, CA's Kia Forum.
In the clip, which is sung a cappalla, Kiedis reveals that Frusciante broke his finger, but doesn't explain how it happened.
Previously, the Red Hot Chili Peppers revealed that they wouldn't be able to play for the next six weeks due to an injury within the band. Their next scheduled show is in February. They will tour North America, including two shows in Toronto, next summer.
