Rap vet Raekwon is set to enter The Wild on a new LP this month, and before it arrives, the Wu-Tang member has shared a new cut with Lil Wayne titled "My Corner."
Describing the track to Rolling Stone as "a flashback to them good ole terrible blocks," Raekwon trades bars with Wayne over a slice of upbeat boom-bap marked with synth stabs.
"Wayne is a charismatic individual and his flows are dumb delightful" Raekwon said. "I studied him way back and appreciated the opportunity to trade bars with him. I always heard his voice on this and I was very pleased hearing him tap dance on a different style of production. 'My Corner' is a flashback to them good ole terrible blocks and we take you back to all black outfits. This record must be played at high volume."
The Wild will arrive on March 24 through ICEH20/Empire Records. Hear "My Corner" in the player below, and revisit Exclaim! TV's interview with Raekwon here.
