Say her name, and then say "Action!" Hot on the heels of announcing her debut album and a North American tour, the booked-and-busy Priyanka has announced that she's getting her own TV show.
The news was shared today as part of Bell Media's 2024–2025 slate of original programming (which, for the record, also includes Canada's Drag Race Season 5 and Canada's Drag Race: Canada vs. The World Season 2). The first-ever Canada's Drag Race winner will helm Drag Brunch Saved My Life, a reality series where restaurants get makeovers and local drag queens are spotlighted as Priyanka helps the eateries save lives (and hangovers) with drag brunches.
"In a post-pandemic world where restaurants are struggling to make ends meet, Priyanka — flanked by her haute cuisine experts, event planning extraordinaires, and locally 'Pri-picked queens' — embarks on a mission to give restaurants a second shot by helping them stage their very own drag brunch production," the show's official synopsis reads.
"When I was 17 years old, I fought my way to be on camera for a local TV show called Durham Dining — I couldn't remember my lines, I dressed like [an] old man but most of all I just wanted to entertain people!" Whitby, ON-born Priyanka added on Twitter, sharing a clip of their appearance.
Drag Brunch Saved My Life is, fittingly, coming soon to Crave.
