Phoebe Bridgers has shared another new track from her forthcoming record, Punisher, ahead of its release next month. The track is called "I See You" (previously stylized as "ICU"), and it can be heard below.
In a statement about the new single, Bridgers explained:
It's about my breakup with my drummer. We dated for a few years, made music every day, and were extremely codependent. We became like family to each other, so our breakup was extremely tough. But if this tells you anything about our relationship, we wrote this song together, just like everything else.
"I See You" follows the release of album cuts "Kyoto" and "Garden," as well as "I Know the End," which she premiered during a live stream performance last month.
In addition to her new song, Bridgers has also shared plans for a virtual world tour. You can see those dates below. As previously reported, her tour with the 1975 was recently postponed. That trek has yet to be rescheduled.
Since Bridgers's debut album released back in 2017, she has recorded and performed in boygenius with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, as well as Better Oblivion Community Center with Conor Oberst. She also released an original song with the National's Matt Berninger.
Listen to "I See You" and watch its accompanying Lachlan Turczan- and Enna Ikuta-directed lyric video below, where you'll also find Bridgers's virtual tour schedule.
Punisher arrive on June 15 via Dead Oceans.
Tour dates:
05/26 - KITCHEN with Hooligan Magazine
05/28 - BATHROOM with Noisey/Vice
06/04 - BED with DIY Magazine
06/06 - BED with TBD
