Days ahead of joining Alexisonfire on tour, NOBRO have announced their signing to Dine Alone Records for a new EP.
The Montreal outfit will release the four-track Sick Hustle through the label on April 3. The EP is now available for pre-order.
Alongside the announcement, the four-piece have shared EP closer "Marianna," which you can hear below. As the single's cover art suggests, the track does in fact include a bongo solo.
As vocalist/bassist Kathryn McCaughey explained:
It's a song about a girl named Marianna. She is my best friend and the OG guitar player in NOBRO. We thought we were going to take over the world with our 'onslaught of shred and grit' but before we were about to play our biggest show to date, Marianna told me she was moving away to live on a goat farm in northern BC. I was heartbroken — absolutely devastated. But as they say 'the show must go on' and it did and it still does. I wrote her a song so at least when we play shows she can still be there with me, always.
NOBRO will support Alexisonfire on a Western Canadian tour this month ahead of a hometown show in Montreal at Le Ministere on January 30.
After that, they'll support Pussy Riot in Toronto as part of Canadian Music Week 2020. Find NOBRO's complete itinerary below.
