Revving up the engine ahead of the release of Leave Me Alone, former Queens of the Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri is contemplating car crashes and the afterlife in the newly revealed first single from the set, "Human Cannonball Explodes."
Backed high-octane punk riffs, Oliveri muses on, among other things, feelings of isolation and bad accidents. After falling asleep at the wheel on the freeway and apparently wiping out quite badly, the screecher tries to figure out which side of the living/dead divide he's on.
You'll find out what he discovers by giving the song a stream down below.
Leave Me Alone, Oliveri's first solo set since 2004's Demolition Day, arrives sometime this September through Schnitzel Records.
