As summer tradition dictates, Boots and Hearts Music Festival is set to beckon country and folk music fans back to Oro-Medonte's Burl's Creek Event Grounds this August 7–10.

As country undergoes a major change of guard, the scene continues to make room for women and genre-fluid artists, including the five must-sees performing at this year's festivities, seen below. Show up early to spend some time with these musicians' afternoon sets, and you'll be sure to find some hidden rhinestones.

Hailey Benedict
Country music's future star has that twang — and a bajillion TikTok followers to boot. All those fans can't be wrong; don't miss this rising artist's Saturday afternoon Main Stage set or risk finding out what doing "Things My Mama Says" I shouldn't gets you.

Noeline Hofmann
At just 20 years old, the Albertan honky tonker already has her debut album Purple Gas in the books, as well as a massive tour behind the record with supporting slots for Leon Bridges and multiple festival dates, plus headlining dates with Kade Hoffman (no relation). She'll open for Owen Riegling's Saturday night Front Porch Stage set.

Meghan Patrick
Bowmanville-born singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Meghan Patrick dropped her fourth studio album Golden Child last year, and this summer, she's ready to share her autobiographical, expository songs with her home province's audiences, as well as cities all over North America.

Lakeview
Formed from members of touring metal bands, Lakeview might be the most unique act on the Boots bill. They're big into God as well as metalcore, and they've got a cover of one of the most elite karaoke songs of all time.

Sacha
Among the most underrated artists on this year's lineup, Ontario-via-Quebec's own mononymous Sacha blends the old-school stylings of Patsy Cline with the modern attitude of Sheryl Crow.
