Before The Archives Vol. II: 1972-1976 drops next month, Neil Young has shared another cut from the box set, a studio version of his song "Homefires," recorded back in 1974.

Unlike most of Young's releases, his Archives has shared a significant preview of the track on Twitter today, a two-minute clip that encompasses the majority of the song. It features Young on guitar and harmonica with Tim Drummond on bass. The song was recorded at Young's Broken Arrow Ranch.

Listen to that preview below, while NYA subscribers can listen to the full version of "Homefires" here.

"Homefires" marks the second release — following "Come Along and Say You Will" — from the sprawling box set, which is set to include an additional 50 alternate, previously unreleased versions of Young originals, and 12 tracks previously unreleased in any format.

According to an update from NYA, the box set has officially sold out online. Pre-orders of the release went live only a matter of days ago on October 16 ahead of its release on November 20.

NYA has announced plans to order up a "unique" second edition of the 100-plus-song box set, as well another edition of Archives Vol. I 1963-1972 and a follow-up, The Archives Vol. III, in time to come.
