Montréal's MUTEK has shared the full list of programming for its 2022 edition, featuring over 80 performances over six days and six nights.
Running August 23 to 28, the festival is welcoming artists and festival-goers to come together in person again after two years of hybrid fests that saw most programming move online.
MUTEK's 23rd edition will take place in a handful of easily-walkable locations, including the Society for Arts and Technology, MTELUS, Place des Arts' Théâtre Maisonneuve, and the new esplanade Tranquille as its epicentre, which will be home to MUTEK's free outdoor stage for the first time. More than 100 artists from 21 countries will be present for performances, workshops, and panels.
Among many others, some programming options include The Nocturne, described as a "series dedicated to electronic music's more rhythmic and enthralling forms of expression and features original, immersive scenography," and the free-of-charge Expérience, which runs daily from 5:00 to 11:00 p.m. and is "a true panorama of contemporary electronic music" that's "designed to be accessible to all."
Besides previously-shared artists like Loraine James, Koreless and Aquarian, attending artists include Parts Project, Ambre Ciel, Djima, Korea Town Acid and many, many more.
Tickets will no longer be available at presale prices after today, so grab them while you can. For more info on the festival, including tickets and the full lineup, visit mutek.org.
