Britney Spears is just over a week away from releasing new memoir The Woman in Me, and it's been revealed that the audiobook edition of the tell-all will be narrated by Michelle Williams.
People reports that the audiobook of The Woman in Me — arriving October 24 alongside the physical edition — will feature an introduction read by the pop star herself, while the five-time Oscar-nominated actress will lend her voice to the rest of Spears's story.
"This book has been a labour of love and all the emotions that come with it," Spears shared in a statement to People. "Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching, and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook. I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it."
Williams added in a respective statement, "I stand with Britney."
Last year, Williams starred in Steven Spielberg's semi-autobiographical coming-of-age drama The Fabelmans. Her narration of The Woman in Me marks her first audiobook.
As previously reported, Spears's memoir is said to be a "brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope," highlighting the "strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history." Months after being freed from her 13-year conservatorship, Spears inked a $15 million USD publishing deal following a reported bidding war between publishers.
Though she may never perform again, Spears has shared new music with Elton John and will.i.am since being released from her conservatorship.
Coinciding with the release of The Woman in Me, the 2002 Spears-led dramedy Crossroads returns to theatres this month.
