Despite displaying their acting chops on a recent episode of Game of Thrones, the burly metal men of Mastodon have opted to let a feline adventurer take the spotlight in the new, fantastical video for Once More Round the Sun number "Asleep in the Deep."
Directed by Video Rahim, with help from Shane Morton and Skinner, the video is described in a press release as "the psychedelic and epic journey of a house cat who unknowingly travels into a bizarre gypsy catacomb where it encounters a giant bullfrog, a three-headed evil rat king, cat gnomes, cheese slaves and a warrior squirrel."
Below, you'll see the furry hero being worshiped by the gnomes, who look like skeleton ewoks, before transforming into a wide-eyed, Meet the Feebles-styled puppet. The extremely odd adventure is quite unique and focuses on rodent/feline relations in the face of adversity.
