Margo Price Announces New Album 'Strays,' Plots North American Tour

Margo Price has unveiled plans for her follow-up to That's How Rumors Get Started. Fourth studio album Strays will arrive on January 13 via Loma Vista.

Tackling the "demons of self-image, self-worth and more that came in the wake of her recent decision to quit drinking," Price has teamed up with Sharon Van Etten, Mike Campbell and Lucius on the record to deliver 10 tracks of her most "sonically ambitious" material to date.

She said in a release:

I feel this urgency to keep moving, keep creating. You get stuck in the same patterns of thinking, the same loops of addiction. But there comes a point where you just have to say, "I'm going to be here, I'm going to enjoy it, and I'm not going to put so much stock into checking the boxes for everyone else." I feel more mature in the way that I write now, I'm on more than just a search for large crowds and accolades. I'm trying to find what my soul needs.

Today, she shares "Change of Heart," one of the first tracks cut for the album. It arrives alongside a music video by Courtney Hoffman.

The artist is currently on a book tour for her memoir Maybe We'll Make It, which features interviews with Emmylou Harris, Amythyst Kiah, Swamp Dogg, Bob Weir and more. After that wraps up in November, the artist will head out on the 30-date 'Til the Wheels Fall Off Tour, which will bring her to Vancouver and Toronto in February 2023. Tickets for the new dates go on sale this Friday, September 23, at 10 a.m. local time.
