Mac DeMarco has finally given wide distribution to his 2015 instrumental album Some Other Ones, which is now up on streaming services, with vinyl available to pre-order.

DeMarco quietly released Some Other Ones in July 2015, just a month before his mini-album Another One. At the time, DeMarco hosted a barbecue in Brooklyn, where he collected food bank donations and played Some Other Ones over the speakers as the party soundtrack.

At the time, he shared Some Other Ones on Bandcamp. He took it down not long after, and it's only been available through bootlegs ever since.

Listen to Some Other Ones below. It's nine tracks long, all of which are instrumental and prominently feature woozy slide guitar, bridging the gap between his wobbly early work and the more patient, stripped-down music he's been releasing lately. It was recorded in five days at Mac's then-home in Far Rockaway, Queens.

Vinyl copies are available to pre-order here. It's being pressed in a run of 5,500 copies via Captured Tracks, with copies expected to ship around December 15.

Earlier this year, DeMarco told Exclaim! that he was planning a reissue of Some Other Ones.
