Lil Durk has announced that he will "take a break" following a pyrotechnic accident that occurred over the weekend during his performance at Lollapalooza festival in Chicago on July 30.

On Instagram, Durk shared a photo from what appears to be a hospital room or doctor's office. The picture shows gauze covering one eye, with a medical mask obscuring his nose and mouth, and only one eye visible. The caption reads, "Due to the incident that happened at Lollapalooza in Chicago on stage, I'ma take a break & focus on my health."
The extent of his injuries hasn't been made public, nor has the exact cause for the onstage mishap. His next show is scheduled for August 13 at Boston, MA's TD Garden; as of this writing, it hasn't been formally cancelled.
