More than a decade since Killer Mike's last solo album, the Run the Jewels rapper has detailed a new album. MICHAEL will be out on June 16, and today he has shared the lead single "DON'T LET THE DEVIL."

In a statement, Killer Mike called MICHAEL "an origin story," comparing Run the Jewels to the X-Men and this album to the 2017 Wolverine film Logan. "DON'T LET THE DEVIL" sounds very much like RTJ, since El-P raps a verse on it and also co-produced the gospel-inflected beat; they even namecheck Run the Jewels a few times. It was also produced with No I.D. and Little Shalimar, while thankugoodsir is a featured guest.

On streaming services, "Don't Let the Devil" is packaged together with last year's singles "RUN" (featuring Young Thug) and "TALK'N THAT SHIT!" Presumably, those songs are on MICHAEL, although the tracklist hasn't been made public just yet.
