Kid Cudi Reveals He Auditioned for 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

Performer Kid Cudi has proven to be a man of many talents. Outside of his recording career, which itself has shifted and changed numerous times over the years, he recently filled Reggie Watts' shoes as the new bandleader on Comedy Bang Bang. His acting resume could've been all the more impressive, however, if a recent audition went a little better. Specifically, he would've been cast in J.J. Abrams' hugely anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The news comes via Twitter. When a fan said that the artist should have been offered a role in the upcoming film, Cudi revealed that he did audition. Though it didn't turn out in his favour, Cudi said he was thankful for the opportunity.

Since Disney has plans to release a new Star Wars film pretty much every year for the rest of our lives, we're guessing everyone will eventually get their chance to be a part of the Star Wars universe.

The Force Awakens hits theatres on December 18.
