After Romy gave an update on the new xx album last week, excitement about the trio's imminent return is high — but that doesn't mean their respective solo acts aren't still operating in full force; Jamie xx has a new single out today in support of the latest Chanel Coco Crush campaign.
Arriving via Young, "It's So Good" marks the artist's first new music in over a year, following 2022's pair of singles, "Kill Dem" and "LET'S DO IT AGAIN." It's been almost nine years since Jamie xx released his sole solo album, In Colour, but he continues to be prolific, working on the solo records of xx bandmates Romy and Oliver Sim, as well as numerous other production projects.
You would maybe expect something for an ad campaign — albeit for a brand like Chanel – to be at least a little phoned-in, but Jamie xx delivers a gurgling gem of a simmering, spellbinding house jam. It lives up to its name!
