Heather Green Preps 'Clementine' EP, Shares "The Wild Ones"

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Aug 13, 2015

Back in 2009, Heather Green left the sunny shores of California and moved to Canada's East Coast, immersing herself in Nova Scotia's rich musical traditions and thriving community. Now, the Halifax-based singer-songwriter has revealed plans for a new EP titled Clementine. The seven-song set is slated for an independent release on September 11.

Clementine hears her teaming up with producer Daniel Ledwell (Jenn Grant, the Fortunate Ones) and features local talents like Stuart Legere, Kim Harris and Margot Durling. Young River — comprising Zach MacLean, Brodie Peterson and Matt Thauvette — serve as Green's backing band on the record.

A press release notes that Green drew inspiration from the likes of First Aid Kit, Boy and Ingrid Michaelson on the new material, delivering sophisticated, pop-tinged tunes with contemplative themes.
