The Head and the Heart Announce New Album, North American Tour

BY Josiah HughesPublished Jul 22, 2013

It's been two years since Seattle folkies the Head and the Heart released their self-titled Sub Pop debut. Now, they've finally announced plans for a follow-up.

According to a press release, the new album is called Let's Be Still. The release was recorded with Shawn Simmons at Seattle's Studio Litho, and was later mixed in Connecticut with Peter Katis (the National, Interpol, the Swell Season).

Band member Jonathan Russell explains that this album marks a change from their debut. "There is a certain level of confidence gained from having such an amazing fan base," he said in a statement. "You start to trust yourself more. When we were busking, we were filling so much space to keep the listener from walking away. Now we are in a very different situation."

Sub Pop will issue Let's Be Still on October 15. The band also have a full North American tour scheduled, including a stop in Toronto on Halloween. Check out the itinerary below.
