Comedian and television Kathy Griffin has done the seemingly impossible, managing to piss off nearly everyone in these highly divisive times. Republicans and Democrats have joined President Donald Trump in condemning her controversially bloody photo shoot which showcases a beheaded Trump. Though she's attempted to save face with an apology, the criticisms are still coming. Now shock metal troupe Gwar have joined in on the finger-wagging.
The band posted a video to their Facebook page where they chastised Griffin for the bit. Naturally, they weren't offended by the graphic nature of the photo, but rather the fact that they've been holding up Trump's bloody head for years.
"You think you're sooo shocking with your severed Trump head," Beefcake the Almighty said in the video. "I think you know where that bit came from. It came from Gwar, you twit! You comedians have got to stop stealing bits. This is Gwar's bit!"
Though the Gwar video is obviously tongue-in-cheek, it points to a larger issue. Photographer Tyler Shields, who is behind the controversial Kathy Griffin image, has been accused of stealing other artist's ideas throughout his whole career.
