Guitar Wolf Plot North American Tour, Announce Vancouver Show with Cheap Time

BY Josiah HughesPublished Feb 25, 2011

Long-running Japanese lock'n'lollers Guitar Wolf have been unleashing their distinctly noisy garage rock for over three decades, pumping out countless releases. Despite the tragic loss of bassist Bass Wolf in 2005, the group continue to record and release new material. They also continue to destroy stages across the world on their many tours. Based on some preliminary dates, it looks as if the band will do the same this year.

We've done some poking around the interweb and discovered a whole slew of Guitar Wolf tour dates, kicking off with a trip through Japan in March and April before hitting up North America for a tour in May with In the Red garage pop phenoms Cheap Time. So far, there is only one Canadian stop on the trip, with a show in Vancouver on May 25, but this tour is clearly in the booking stages so a Montreal and Toronto appearance wouldn't be too far-fetched.

All dates are available below along. Guitar Wolf's last album was Uchusenkan Love, which came out in November 2010.
